Workshops
Our studio has held a pottery workshop periodically at both our studio and at our store, Unearth Space. In 2022, we have also introduced a pottery retreat workshop held outside of Jakarta for two days and one night.
Workshops at Unearth Space
For workshops at Unearth Space, we focus on hand-building techniques without the use of a potter’s wheel. For these workshops, participants will create ceramic objects that was designed specifically according to the theme of that particular month - for example, Unearth may be having a collaboration with a community of tea drinkers within a particular season then the workshops that we will have will reflect this collaboration.
We've conducted various types of pottery hand-building workshops at Unearth - from making teapots, ramen bowls, vases to tealight candle houses
Fee: IDR 880,000/person
(Our workshops are beginner friendly and there will be makers at every table to guide our participants when they need any help)

Wheel-throwing class at AL Ceramics Studio
On top of that, our studio also offers in-studio wheel-throwing classes. This class runs for a 3-week period on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Participants will be exploring the technique of throwing a simple cylinder form and other type of vessel followed by trimming and glazing.
Our wheel throwing classes are kept small to ensure participants are getting the quality of attention needed to learn about wheel throwing.
Our studio workshop includes snacks and a homemade lunch that will be catered in family style.

Pottery Retreat
Last but not least is our Pottery Retreat - where we collaborate with places and destinations outside of Jakarta to do ceramic making activities.
On September 2022, we've collaborated with Omah Jati Anyer, JJ Pottery and Bukit Arumdalu to create an immersive 2 day and 1 night pottery retreat.
This retreat allows participants to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city to enjoy what nature has to offer while spending quality time with yourself and making new friends and trying out pottery at the same time.

Workshop for Private Events
We also cater to companies and privately held events who are interested in collaborating with us for a pottery workshop. For private event workshops, there is a minimum number of participants. Our store, Unearth Space, is available to use for a private event workshop but the location of the workshop can be arranged to your preference.
