Quail Egg Mug with Lid

Mug with Lid is one of the always-in-stock ceramic pieces by Ayu Larasati Ceramics. Perfect for your morning coffee or afternoon tea, the lid could be used as a mini cookie plate or saucer for your teaspoon/tea strainer.

All pieces are handmade individually thrown and trimmed on a pottery wheel. They are glazed with dipping method in our custom studio glaze and fired to 1240 degree Celsius. All pieces use high fire stonewares and are safe to be used for eating, drinking and placed inside a cooking oven. Please hand-wash your handmade pottery but on some occasions you may also use dishwasher. The use of microwave is not advisable.

Quail Egg:

Quail Egg glaze is resulted from layering two of our most-common basic glazes. The tonality and depth of this glaze reminds us of those in the surface of quail egg shells. This particular glaze combination only can be achieved when it is exposed to really high temperature during firing; thus, the they always claim the top rack on our down-draft gas kiln. Quail Egg pieces are definitely one of the ones that are rich in texture and full of depth.
